Your way to us ...

The Samnaun Valley is the first side valley to the left of the Swiss Engadine. Samnaun borders with Tyrol in Austria. The five villages of the valley are embedded in a high-alpine landscape: Samnaun-Compatsch, Samnaun-Laret, Samnaun-Plan, Samnaun-Ravaisch and Samnaun-Dorf at altitudes of between 1,700 and 1,840 m.

Travel to Samnaun by car …

  • ... via Switzerland: Engadin Road (turn-off Vinadi, mountain passes Flüela, Albula and Julier or Vereina-Autoverlad. In winter you should take the Vereina Tunnel; in summer you can travel over Flüele Pass.
  • ... via Tyrol: on the Inntal state road via Landeck to Pfunds; turn-off Kajetans Bridge and via Spiss to Samnaun. The access road in the border area Switzerland-Austria is broader and better than the access road via Switzerland (one-way traffic in the tunnels).
  • ... via Italy: direction Milan or Merano via Resia Pass / Nauders to the turn-off Kajetans Bridge and via Spiss to Samnaun

Please note that winter equipment (tyres/chains) is needed from November to the end of April!

To Hotel Garni Aurora:

On the valley road drive in the direction of Samnaun and before the harbour of Ravaisch take the first road to the right (sign: Einfahrt F - opposite the valley station of the aerial cable car). After approx. 100 m take the sharp right turn with direct access to Garni Aurora.

You can reach Samnaun via Landeck (A) or Scuol (CH) by train or bus.
